Actor Aasif Khan from the show Panchayat experiences a heart attack but is optimistic about his recovery process.

Indian actor Aasif Khan, known for his roles in popular TV shows and films, is currently recuperating at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a heart attack. The news was confirmed by a source close to the actor on Tuesday.

Khan, who has gained recognition for his performances in shows such as Panchayat, Paatal Lok, and Mirzapur, shared an update on his health and recovery on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the support and well wishes he has received. In his post, he also emphasised the importance of not taking life or any day for granted, acknowledging the fragility of life.

In Panchayat, Khan played the character Ganesh, also known as "Damadji", in the first three seasons. His role in Paatal Lok saw him portray Kabir M, one of the suspects in a crime-thriller series. In Mirzapur, he appeared as Babar, an ally of the character Guddu Bhaiya. Khan has also appeared in supporting parts in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pagglait, The Great Indian Family, and most recently in the horror-comedy Bhootnii, his most recent theatrical release.

Khan's Instagram post also highlights the importance of being grateful for all that one has and all that one is. However, the actor has not yet disclosed any details about his return to acting after his heart attack.

In Paatal Lok's first season, Khan portrayed Kabir M, one of four suspects accused of conspiring to murder a high-profile journalist. His performance in the series was widely praised. In Panchayat, Khan's portrayal of Ganesh was equally well-received, earning him a loyal fan base.

Khan's Instagram post about his health issues and recovery has been met with an outpouring of love, concern, and well wishes from his fans and followers. The actor has not yet mentioned a specific date for his return to acting but has expressed that he will be back soon.
