Agibot Unveils Versatile Expedition A1 Humanoid Robot for Industrial and Household Use
Agibot has unveiled Expedition A1, a versatile humanoid robot designed for both industrial and household use. The company aims to keep its price below RMB 200,000 (USD 30,000) per unit, initially targeting B2B scenarios in manufacturing.
Expedition A1 boasts an impressive 49 degrees of freedom, allowing it to support up to 80 kilograms and perform complex tasks with its computational power of 200 TOPS. It stands at 1.75 meters, weighs 53 kilograms, and can walk stably up to 7 km/h. The robot's modular design enables interchangeable components and model variants for various scenarios.
Equipped with a color and depth camera, LiDAR sensors, and reverse-jointed knees, Expedition A1 ensures mechanical stability and a wide range of motion. Its SkillHand technology enhances dexterity, enabling tasks like tightening bolts, handling inspection tools, and conducting vehicle exterior inspections. Agibot envisions the robot evolving into a household assistant for tasks such as fetching water, delivering medications, and preparing food.
Founded by Peng Zhihui, also known as Zhi Huijun, Agibot received financial backing from notable investors like Tencent, Nio, BYD, and Warburg Pincus for the Expedition A1 project.
Agibot's Expedition A1, priced affordably for both industrial and household use, offers versatility and high performance. With backing from major investors, the robot aims to revolutionize both factory settings and daily life, with potential applications ranging from manufacturing tasks to domestic assistance.
