AI Medical Service Secures $70M for Global Endoscopic AI Expansion
AI Medical Service Inc. (AIM) has secured $70 million in Series C financing, led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 (SVF2). Existing investors Globis Capital Partners, World Innovation Lab (WiL), and Incubate Fund also joined the round. The company will use these funds to speed up global adoption of AI in endoscopy.
AIM will also finance the development of an in-house cloud-based platform to support its AI services in endoscopy. While specific details about collaborating medical institutions are not yet available, Olympus has separately launched Olysense CAD/AI, a suite of cloud-based, AI-powered apps for its intelligent endoscopy system. This suggests a growing interest in AI integration within the medical field.
The $70 million investment will enable AIM to expand its AI services in endoscopy globally. Although partnerships with medical institutions are not yet confirmed, the growing presence of AI in endoscopy, as seen with Olympus' Olysense CAD/AI, indicates potential opportunities for collaboration.
