Allergan Aesthetics Launches Faces of Natrelle Campaign to Share Real Stories of Breast Augmentation and Reconstruction

Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, has launched the Faces of Natrelle campaign, featuring nine inspiring women who share their personal breast augmentation and reconstruction journeys using Natrelle breast implants. The campaign aims to reshape the narrative around breast procedures through real, relatable stories.

The women featured in the campaign were selected through a nationwide casting call, representing resilience, confidence, self-expression, and restoration. They come from diverse backgrounds and share inspirational stories of transformation using Natrelle’s customized breast implant options.

The Faces of Natrelle campaign is showcased across social media and digital platforms to promote real experiences and empower others considering breast augmentation or reconstruction. The campaign highlights real stories from breast cancer survivors, mothers, and professionals who chose these procedures for various personal reasons.

It is important to note that routine screening mammography for breast cancer may be more difficult with breast implants. Patients are advised to perform self-examination every month and ask their surgeon to help them distinguish the implant from their breast tissue.

Breast implants are not considered lifetime devices, and the longer people have them, the greater the chances are that they will develop complications. Complications may include rupture of a silicone-filled breast implant, which is most often silent. Many changes to your breasts following implantation are irreversible.

The FDA has issued a Boxed Warning for breast implants, stating that they are associated with the development of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a cancer of the immune system. Patients with autoimmune diseases, a weakened immune system, planned chemotherapy or radiation therapy following breast implant placement, conditions or medications that interfere with wound healing and blood clotting, reduced blood supply to breast tissue, clinical diagnosis of depression or other mental health disorders, including body dysmorphic disorder and eating disorders, should inform their doctor before undergoing breast implant surgery.

Breast implant surgery should not be performed in women with active infection anywhere in their body, existing cancer or precancer of their breast, or those who are currently pregnant or nursing. Cancer treatments and surgery will affect the outcome and timing of breast reconstruction. Breast implantation is likely not a one-time surgery, and patients may need additional surgeries on their breasts due to complications or unacceptable cosmetic results.

Natrelle offers the broadest selection of breast implant options, with 300 options, five profiles, and three gel types. The company encourages patients to discuss their options with their surgeon to make an informed decision.

The Faces of Natrelle campaign is a tribute to resilience and authenticity, and the women embody the Natrelle mission: embrace your journey, own your choices, and live your curves. The campaign aims to increase transparency, foster empowerment, and provide authentic insights into breast procedures, which remain among the most popular cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries in the U.S. [1][2][4]

  1. The Faces of Natrelle campaign, featuring inspiring women with diverse backgrounds, extends beyond breast augmentation and reconstruction to include health-and-wellness and women's health discussions, as demonstrated by their narratives that embrace personal transformation and self-expression.
  2. Additionally, while choosing breast implants, it's crucial to consider potential health implications, as the FDA has issued a Boxed Warning for breast implants, stating that they may cause breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a type of cancer associated with the immune system, which underscores the importance of consultation with healthcare professionals in the science of plastic surgery.
