Halton Region Community Investment Fund: Supporting Community Needs and Enhancing Well-being
The Halton Region Community Investment Fund is set to provide annual funding of $5 million to non-profit human service programs and initiatives, aiming to support a holistic response to community needs and enhance the health, safety, and well-being of Halton residents.
The application period for the 2026 funding year is expected to open in mid-September, with the only information session for this year's application process scheduled for September 25, 2025, and a second session on October 8, 2025. Registration details for these sessions will be posted on the Halton Region Community Investment Fund web page.
The Fund is an integral part of Halton's Community Safety and Well-Being planning, offering up to three years of funding to successful applicants. Proposals that demonstrate collaborative approaches are encouraged, and both non-profit, charitable, and unincorporated community groups may apply.
The Fund offers two categories of grants: Category One and Category Two. Category One provides funding for short-term, small capital, or innovative projects. Grants in this category are awarded up to a maximum of $30,000 for up to one year.
