Artificial Intelligence Lab Establishment by Tech Mahindra in China Announced
Tech Mahindra and Gao Feng Announce Joint AI Lab in Shanghai
India's Tech Mahindra and Gao Feng Advisory Company have joined forces to establish a Joint Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab in Shanghai. The lab aims to provide a data analytics center of excellence and deliver comprehensive services to clients in the Greater China region, from strategy to implementation, enabling digital transformation.
The AI Lab will not be limited to the previously mentioned areas of focus, such as AI Chatbot Services, Smart Process Automation, NLP (Text Analytics), Image Recognition & Processing, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics. Instead, it will also develop solutions for Predictive Analytics, Data Modeling, and leverage Digital Twin technology.
The lab's primary goal is to help customers reduce labor costs and product development costs through Agile/Devops process methodologies and AI-based testing & automation frameworks. Additionally, it will combine Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies to develop solutions for the manufacturing industry. The aim is to reduce maintenance cost, accelerate manufacturing automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Tech Mahindra's deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and Predictive Analytics, coupled with Gao Feng's partnership, allows them to offer clients a broad set of capabilities beyond those typically found among strategy consultancies. The lab will also work on creating unique intellectual properties (IPs) and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to address industry-specific business challenges and create new revenue streams, particularly in Automotive, Healthcare, Hightech, and Retail segments.
Tech Mahindra has been operating engineering services business in China for over 15 years with more than 500 engagements. The AI Lab is expected to help customers utilize and monetize data, with the lab developing AI Chatbots using RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and IoT frameworks for customer applications. The lab will also serve as a hub for the development of solutions in areas such as Predictive Analytics, Data Modeling, and Digital Twin technology.
The AI Lab is intended to help customers achieve high efficiency in manufacturing processes and reduce variability in manufacturing, optimizing cost and reducing development life cycles. With this joint venture, Tech Mahindra and Gao Feng aim to deliver innovative AI solutions that will drive digital transformation and create value for customers in the Greater China region.
At this time, the name of the Vice President of Tech Mahindra who announced the launch of the AI lab in Shanghai has not been disclosed.
