After a brief stay at the general hospital, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been discharged following treatment for skin cancer. The 67-year-old politician was admitted to a hospital in Brasilia on Tuesday due to discomfort with hiccups and vomiting, aggravated by dehydration.

During his hospital visit, eight skin lesions were removed for investigation. According to the article, biopsies showed that two of the lesions had a skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma 'in situ'. This intermediate type of skin cancer will not require treatment at this time, but Bolsonaro will need to undergo follow-up appointments with his treating physician, Claudio Birolini.

The cancerous lesions were located on Bolsonaro's chest and one arm. The removal of the skin lesions is already considered a cure for Bolsonaro's skin cancer. Bolsonaro has bandages and stitches that will be removed in two weeks.

Bolsonaro has been serving preventive imprisonment since August, following his sentencing last week to 27 years and 3 months in prison by the First Chamber of the Supreme Federal Tribunal (STF) for coup d'état and four other crimes. He is currently undergoing house arrest in Brazil.

Prior to his hospital visit, Bolsonaro had been to the hospital on Sunday for routine exams. Despite his health challenges, the former president has remained active on social media, continuing to express his political views.

As Bolsonaro recovers from his recent health issues, he will continue to face legal challenges related to his actions while in office. The location of the incident is not specified in the article.
