Criminal Penalties for Unwanted Sexual Advances in BPOLI EF
In a troubling incident that occurred on Monday evening, a 24-year-old man from Afghanistan is under investigation for sexual harassment and indecent exposure. The incident took place on an Amtrak train journey from North Thuringia to Erfurt, with two women reporting similar incidents of sexual harassment on the same Amtrak train.
According to reports, a woman aboard the Amtrak train stated that a man was staring at her and later masturbating under his clothing during the journey. The woman moved away from the situation and changed seats. Another woman also reported a similar incident on the same Amtrak train. The Amtrak conductor was informed and contacted the Federal Police.
Upon the Amtrak's arrival in Erfurt, a 24-year-old man was identified and separated from the victims by officers. The man has not been publicly named.
