Giessen's Senior Fair 2025: 'Growing Older Together' on Oct 11
Giessen's Senior Fair 2025 is set to take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall. The event, organized by the 'Round Table - Growing Older in Giessen', aims to foster a new culture of aging and provide suitable offers for all needs. Admission is free.
The fair, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', will showcase a wide range of exhibits and activities. Visitors can expect information on health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, and inheritance, all provided by local providers and professional service consultants.
The 'Round Table - Wachsen alter in Giessen', a club within the Round Table network representing men aged 18-40, is behind the organization. They aim to create a transparent representation of offers for older people and contribute to a differentiated perception of aging.
An exciting framework program will include dance classes, a bistro, and a barrier-free environment with sign language interpretation available. The Engagement Street will highlight local initiatives and associations offering activities for seniors. Services focused on independence and mobility, such as a Repair Café and Rollator Park, will also be provided.
The fair will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir.
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025, taking place from 10 am to 4 pm, invites seniors, their relatives, and interested professionals to engage, learn, and celebrate aging together. The event promises to be informative, engaging, and active, reflecting the diverse needs and interests of the senior community.
