The Hispanic Caucus of Congress remains focused on migratory themes, particularly in the case of Sara Hernández, a 10-year-old resident of Texas who was deported by the Donald Trump Administration.

Last March, Sara, her five brothers, and her parents were attempting to cross a border fence to take Sara to the doctor when they were stopped by immigration agents. The family was given two options: deportation together or separation, as five of the children are American citizens. Faced with the prospect of being torn apart, the family chose to stay together and were deported the next day.

Since then, Sara has been living in a rural area of Mexico, where she has not been able to receive appropriate treatment due to not having Mexican citizenship and high costs. Four months have passed, and Democratic congressman Joaquín Castro has urged for a humanitarian parole to bring Sara back to the U.S. for her necessary medical attention.

The Texas Civil Rights Project continues to support Sara Hernández and her family. Rochelle Garza, the president of the Texas Civil Rights Project, described Sara as the face of the nation's humanity. Adriano Espaillat, the president of the Hispanic Caucus of Congress, met with the Hernández family in Mexico and stated that the Trump Administration's objective is to deport families, children, mothers, and fathers.

There are no available search results reporting who the Trump administration has informed about the issuance of a humanitarian permit for Sara Hernández's return to the United States. Democratic Congress members are demanding a humanitarian permit for Sara Hernández to return to the U.S.

Sara Hernández is suffering from cancer, and an IMSS official has apologized to children with disabilities and cancer, including Sara, and referred to them as "charismatic macrofauna." Adriano Espaillat stated that this treatment of children with disabilities is unacceptable and further highlights the need for a humanitarian permit for Sara Hernández.

The American girl's story has gained national attention, with Adriano Espaillat describing Sara as the face of the nation's humanity. The Hispanic Caucus of Congress remains committed to fighting for the rights of families like the Hernández family and will continue to advocate for a humanitarian permit for Sara Hernández to return to the U.S. for her necessary medical treatment.
