Highlights Association Takes Part in World Aids Day Commemoration
In the past, the late general practitioner Ralf Fuhrmann served as the HIV specialist doctor in the Pforzheim area until 2020. Unfortunately, as of now, Pforzheim does not have an HIV specialist doctor, and the care of HIV-positive individuals is only guaranteed by practices in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart.
However, on World AIDS Day 2023, which falls on December 1, there will be several events in Pforzheim aimed at raising awareness and providing support for those affected by the immunodeficiency disease.
One such event is a checkpoint for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections testing, which will take place from 5 pm to 8 pm at Goldschmiedeschulstraße 6. This event is organised by the association Spotlight, and it is part of the World AIDS Day observance.
Spotlight will also have an information table and a package action at the Rex cinema center on the same day. In addition, they will offer testing opportunities at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and many schools in Pforzheim, Enzkreis, and Calw during December 2023.
