Pop singer Miley Cyrus has revealed she experienced a serious infection following a late-night music video shoot on Hollywood's iconic Walk of Fame. The 32-year-old star elaborated on the incident during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Cyrus filmed the accompanying video for her album's track "Walk of Fame," which was released in October, on the famous sidewalk for budgetary reasons. However, the unprecedented move led to a "brutal infection" in the patellar area of her knee. She initially believed it was just a minor injury, but by Thanksgiving, her condition had worsened to the point that she was admitted to the ICU for a brief period. The hospital was overcrowded, making the admission all the more concerning.
As Cyrus narrated her experience, she noted the doctor's surprised reaction upon realizing the origin of the infection. "When a doctor looks at you and says 'Ew,' that's when you know you're in trouble," the singer stated.
