International Bodies Embrace Robotic Process Automation to Address COVID-19 Crisis

In the past 21 days, UiPath has accumulated 30 COVID-19 use cases to aid both healthcare organisations and businesses in their fight against the pandemic. The company's CEO, Daniel Dines, has announced that UiPath is heavily invested in using its RPA platform to combat the spread of COVID-19.

One of the ways UiPath is helping is by offering its RPA software free of charge to healthcare organisations. This move is aimed at accelerating critical processes during the pandemic. An insurance company, for instance, has created seven robots to support Remote Access Services (RAS), Enterprise Mobility Services, and massive Service Now transactions, ensuring business continuity.

Healthcare institutions are also benefiting from UiPath's RPA platform. The Mater Hospital in Dublin, for example, is using UiPath's attended robots to process COVID-19 testing kits faster, saving valuable time for medical personnel. Similarly, one of the largest hospitals in the U.S. has deployed a UiPath attended robot to reduce hospital backlogs and eliminate costly manual errors in patient data management.

The use of RPA extends beyond healthcare. In retail, it's being used to onboard employees quickly. In call centres, it's being used to pull customer data faster, ensuring a faster call triage process and reduced average call handling time. In the transportation industry, RPA is helping with high volumes of medical tests processing. Public authorities are also using it to manage welfare arrangements more efficiently.

UiPath's RPA platform is also being used to prepare and enable a remote workforce. It automates the process of registering new equipment for remote workers and creating new users for the VPN. A hygienic company has even added 20 UiPath unattended robots to handle a 10x increase in orders for hand sanitizer, meeting market demand during the pandemic.

UiPath's Automation Hub, which includes UiPath Task Capture, allows tasks and processes to be recorded. This tool is invaluable for businesses as they adapt their business models with automation, enabling them to scale up robots rather than scale down human employees during economic downturns.

UiPath has also announced that its Automation Hub is being offered at no cost to enterprise customers and prospects for one year. This offer allows enterprises to capture automation ideas from their staff and build an automation pipeline to support new and evolving employee needs.

As of now, there is no publicly available information about specific German companies using UiPath's Automation Hub for free in the last 21 days to support remote workers. However, it's clear that UiPath's RPA platform is making a significant difference in various industries during these challenging times.

In one remarkable example, an attended robot can execute a testing transaction in 15 seconds, compared to 2.5 minutes for a human. This speed and efficiency are crucial in the current situation, where time is of the essence.

UiPath's efforts to combat COVID-19 with its RPA platform are commendable. As the world continues to grapple with the pandemic, it's clear that technology will play a crucial role in helping us navigate these uncharted waters.
