Job Openings at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology
The Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO), a center of excellence in comprehensive eye care, has announced two openings for the position of Assistant - Anesthesia. The Nepal Eye Program, a part of TIO, is looking for qualified Nepali candidates to fill these positions.
The Assistant - Anesthesia will be responsible for a variety of duties, including assisting anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, monitoring patients' vital signs during surgery, managing anesthesia supplies and medications, maintaining sterile techniques and patient safety standards, and helping with patient preparation and post-operative care related to anesthesia.
In addition to these general responsibilities, the Assistant - Anesthesia will also be tasked with pre-anesthetic assessment of patients requiring anesthesia, preparing resuscitation and CPR materials, and attaching monitoring equipment, institutes IV access for drugs and fluids, and assisting in providing general anesthesia. The Assistant - Anesthesia will also be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and managing the patient's vitals during anesthesia and the recovery period until full recovery.
To be eligible for the position, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of anesthesia. The minimum requirements for the Assistant - Anesthesia position include a PCL in Health Sciences and an I year anesthesia assistant course from a reputed institution.
