In Bremen's Eastern Suburb, a 52-year-old man caused a disturbance on Sunday afternoon, prompting a call to the police. The incident unfolded around 4:30 PM on the street 'Bei den drei Pfählen'.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the man outside a multi-family house, displaying erratic and aggressive behaviour. The man was observed handling dangerous objects such as scissors, a carpenter's hammer, and even an axe, which he threatened to use against the police officers.

Negotiations were required to resolve the situation. However, when the man jumped onto an adjacent garage, where police officers were also present, the situation escalated. The special forces team, a specially trained police unit referred to as 'special forces' or 'Spezialkräfte' in the police operation, deployed a taser to subdue the man.

The man sustained bruises and abrasions during the incident on the garage. Three police officers were lightly injured during the same incident. The man was then transferred to a psychiatric facility, where he was involuntarily committed after the incident on the garage.

It's important to note that the man was not identified by name in the news article. The man fled into his apartment after dropping the axe, marking the end of the incident. The police's swift and skilled response ensured the safety of the public and the officers involved.
