Medical Professionals Amputate Infant's Arm During Delivery in India

In a shocking turn of events, a newborn's arm was accidentally torn off during delivery at a hospital in India, according to a report by "The Times of India". The Haryana Human Rights Commission has taken note of the incident and initiated an investigation.

The commission, led by the Civil Surgeon of Nuh, has been directed to submit a detailed report within 15 days. The report should include the circumstances leading to the amputation, the identities of the medical and paramedical staff present during the delivery, explanations for the severing of the limb, steps taken for the treatment and rehabilitation of the baby, and any departmental or internal inquiry initiated.

The investigation is centered around concerns of gross medical negligence and violations of the constitutional right to life under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, as well as breaches of Articles 6 and 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The committee's probe involves collecting official medical and factual accounts from the responsible hospital, reviewing the conduct and roles of attending medical personnel, assessing adherence to established medical protocols, examining any internal disciplinary or inquiry processes already underway, and investigating the nature of treatment towards the baby’s family by hospital staff.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a pedophile in Dagestan is under investigation after a video showing him touching a 5-year-old girl under her panties was found on his phone. The specific location of the incident and the current status of the pedophile and the girl remain unspecified. No further details about the video or the investigation were provided in the report.

It's important to note that the identity of the medical staff involved in the error in India has not been disclosed, and no legal actions have been mentioned against the pedophile in Dagestan. The affected baby has been transferred to a hospital in Mandikheri, a city neighboring the incident, and the report did not provide any information about the girl's family or support system.

This investigation aims to establish accountability for these tragic incidents and to formulate measures to prevent such violations in the future. The committee's findings are eagerly awaited to bring justice to the affected parties and ensure the safety and rights of children and newborns are upheld.
