This is the latest health issue for Lula, who has faced various health challenges throughout his tenure.
Lula was hospitalized in Brasília following the diagnosis and subsequently returned to his official residence under medical advice for rest. As a consequence, he has temporarily reduced his official commitments due to discomfort from his ear condition.
