Minister Magnus Jung, in collaboration with DAK Health, seeks individuals to envision and contribute to harmonious health-oriented living by 2025.

In an effort to foster health and social cohesion in the region, Health Minister Dr. Magnus Jung and DAK Gesundheit have joined forces to launch the "Faces for a Healthy Togetherness" competition in Saarland 2025.

The competition, which runs from March 21 to 28, 2025, as part of the representative survey "Healthy Coexistence 2025" by the Forsa Institute, invites citizens to submit projects that promote health and community spirit in the region.

The competition seeks a variety of projects, such as special exercise programs for children or the elderly, school actions for drug prevention, or interactive anti-stress courses in businesses. Projects that support healthy living, social integration, and well-being in local communities are encouraged.

Applications for the award can be submitted online until September 15, 2025. The competition is open to clubs, groups, associations, organizations, and businesses.

At both the regional and national levels, prizes totaling nearly 40,000 euros will be awarded to support the winning projects. An independent jury chaired by DAK CEO Andreas Storm will select the national winning projects.

In Saarland, the jury will determine the top three "Faces for a Healthy Coexistence" at the regional level. All regional champions will advance to the national final.

DAK-Gesundheit, with 5.5 million insured members, including around 70,000 in Saarland, is one of the largest health insurance companies in Germany. By supporting this competition, they aim to highlight and support innovative local efforts dedicated to enhancing health and togetherness in Saarland.

Details:

  • Purpose: To encourage projects that foster health and a sense of community in Saarland.
  • Types of projects sought: Initiatives that support healthy living, social integration, and well-being in local communities.
  • Application deadline: April 15, 2025.
  • Award prizes: Winners will receive prize money totaling €10,000 at the regional level.

The competition, in alignment with enhancing health and well-being in local communities, invites submissions of projects that promote mental health alongside physical health. Such projects may include mental health awareness programs, stress management workshops, or community-based support groups.

At the regional level, the committee will honor the top three projects that display exceptional promise in fostering a health-and-wellness-focused community spirit in Saarland.
