Newcastle University Offers PhD in Economics Focusing on Arts & Health
Newcastle University is offering a three-year PhD studentship in Economics, starting in January 2026. The studentship, led by Dr Sarah Najm and Professor John Wildman, focuses on reducing health inequalities and increasing engagement in arts and creative industries. Applications close on 14/11/2025.
The successful candidate will develop their own research project within the broad theme, exploring strands such as institutional economics, social capital, mental health outcomes, and environmental economics.
