Northwestern Medical Center Nurses Form Union, Rally for Fair Contract

Nurses at Northwestern Medical Center have formed a union and are actively negotiating a contract with hospital management. They held a rally last Friday, seeking public support for their cause.

The Union of Northwestern Medical Center Nurses was officially established in February. Since May, leaders Gina Majeski and Jessica Foster have been meeting biweekly with hospital management to reach a contract agreement by Thanksgiving. On Friday evening, nurses gathered outside St. Albans hospital, waving signs and balloons, to rally for their cause. They encouraged passing drivers and pedestrians to show their support.

The union's goal is to secure a fair contract that addresses nurses' concerns and improves working conditions.

The nurses' union continues to negotiate with hospital management, aiming to reach a contract agreement by Thanksgiving. Their recent rally demonstrated the nurses' unity and determination in pursuing their objectives.
