In the village of Besterek, a tragic incident occurred when a driver of a Toyota hit a group of children, resulting in three children being hospitalized with various injuries. Sadly, two children died at the scene of the accident, and one died on the way to the medical facility.

A multidisciplinary team of specialists from regional and republican levels has been involved in the treatment of the children. The medical team accompanying the children includes Dr. E. Shakan (pediatrician), Dr. N. Zhakanov (traumatologist), and Dr. S. Seitbekov (neurosurgeon).

The driver was found to be sober at the time of the accident, and a criminal case has been opened regarding the incident. Police officers are working at the scene, conducting investigative actions. The driver was placed under arrest for two months.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered a plane with doctors to be sent to help the children. A medical evacuation flight took off from Urdzhar District, Abai Region, carrying the injured children. The Ministry of Health confirmed that the plane with medical personnel on board arrived in Urdzhar District.

The children are being hospitalized at the Multidisciplinary City Children's Hospital No. 2 in Astana. The condition of the nine-year-old girl is unstable, and she is under the supervision of the chief out-of-staff anesthesiologist-reanimatologist of Abai Region, D. Karimov, until her condition stabilizes. The Ministry of Health has developed a plan for surgical treatment for the injured children.

It's important to note that there is no publicly available information confirming that the driver was drunk on the day of the accident in Besterek. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
