Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a progressive condition that, while currently incurable, can be managed effectively to prevent its advancement. This condition, which often becomes apparent in later life, affects up to one in twenty people over the age of 70.

On Thursday, a specialist lecture on PAD will be held at the Solingen City Clinic. The event, taking place from 5 to 6 pm in Conference Room 3, is open to the public and free of charge. No registration is required.

Dr. Ulrich Jaschke, the Chief Physician of the Clinic for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Solingen Clinic, will deliver the lecture. He will discuss the causes, diagnosis, and treatment options for PAD, providing valuable insights for those affected and their relatives.

After the lecture, Dr. Jaschke will be available to answer individual questions from the audience. This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of PAD and learn about the latest advancements in its management.

It's important to note that PAD can affect not only the legs but also other organs such as the heart, brain, or kidneys. This can lead to serious conditions such as coronary heart disease (CHD), heart failure, heart attack, stroke, or kidney disease. The symptoms of PAD occur due to the deposition of fat and calcium, a process known as atherosclerosis or artery hardening.

So, if you or someone you know is interested in learning more about PAD, mark your calendars for Thursday and join Dr. Ulrich Jaschke at the Solingen City Clinic. His expertise and the open discussion will provide a comprehensive understanding of this important health topic.
