Sverdlovsk Region Doubles Housing Allowance for Medical Workers
Medical workers in the Sverdlovsk region are celebrating a significant boost in their housing allowance. The regional government has doubled the compensation for rental cars, aiming to attract and retain specialists in areas with staff shortages.
Previously, medical workers received up to 50% of their car rental costs, capped at 10,000 rubles per month. Now, doctors of all specialties will have 100% of their car rental costs covered, up to 20,000 rubles per month. This new policy also extends to trainee doctors, who will receive up to 20,000 rubles, and paramedics, who will get up to 10,000 rubles.
Governor Denis Pasler announced these changes, which are part of a broader effort to address staffing shortages in certain municipalities. The new compensation structure aims to make the region more attractive to experienced medical professionals.
The Sverdlovsk region's increased and differentiated housing allowance compensation for medical workers is a strategic move to bolster its healthcare system. By covering up to 100% of car rental costs for doctors and trainee doctors, and providing substantial support for paramedics, the regional government hopes to attract and retain experienced specialists.
