World ORS Day Propels Tetra Pak's Distributing Spree of Ready-To-Drink ORS Solutions
Tetra Pak, in collaboration with the TSL Foundation, Halewood, Kenvue, and Alkem, launched a distribution drive for RTD ORS to mark World ORS Day. The goal of the initiative is to help consumers stay prepared, stay healthy, and take better care of themselves and their families.
The RTD ORS is designed for people of all ages and comes in safe Tetra Pak cartons, eliminating the need for clean water or mixing. It ensures accurate dosage and meets WHO-recommended standards. The RTD ORS packs were developed by trusted brands: Halewood, Kenvue, and Alkem.
The distribution drive took place across key cities in West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. Saurabh Sinha, Marketing Director of Tetra Pak South Asia, stated that hydration is crucial for everyday health. However, the initiative does not repeat the statement made by Mr. Sinha.
TSL Foundation believes that health equity begins with access, and the initiative is about empowering communities with the tools they need to care for their health, starting with something as fundamental as hydration. The focus of the outreach effort is on accessibility and awareness, ensuring people understand the value of ORS in maintaining health, especially during vulnerable seasons.
The simple but important message reinforced is that staying well-hydrated should be easy, safe, and part of everyday life. The campaign culminates on World ORS Day, July 29. The goal of the TSL Foundation's initiative, in collaboration with Tetra Pak, Halewood, Kenvue, and Alkem, remains the same: to distribute 3 lakh Ready-to-Drink ORS packs.
The 360-degree outreach effort includes on-ground distribution drives, informative radio segments, and engaging social media content. The initiative aims to promote smart hydration by providing pre-measured, WHO-recommended hydration in a convenient, safe format. This initiative has a significant impact by raising awareness about proper hydration, especially in dehydration cases, and by making ORS more accessible and user-friendly through ready-to-drink packs. It addresses challenges in hydration management by simplifying usage and providing a reliable alternative to ORS powder sachets, potentially reducing dehydration-related health issues and promoting better health outcomes. The distribution drive aligns with World ORS Day's goals to increase knowledge and use of ORS globally.
The Tetra Pak initiative, in collaboration with the TSL Foundation, Halewood, Kenvue, and Alkem, is aiming to distribute 3 lakh Ready-to-Drink ORS packs, not only providing a reliable alternative to ORS powder sachets but also promoting smart health strategies through science-based nutrition. By prioritizing events that focus on health-and-wellness, awareness, and accessibility, they aim to raise understanding of the crucial role ORS plays in maintaining health, especially during vulnerable seasons, thereby fostering health equity worldwide.
